December 13- 28, 2014 (Dec. 13, 20, 21,22, 27, 28)
Times of the tours will be 10:00, 10:30, 11:15, 12:00, 12:45, 1:30, 2:15, 2:45.

Lewis and Clark Caverns State Park offers candlelight tours in December, weather permitting. See the cave as the original discoverers did, by candlelight. The tour covers 2 miles, of which 1 1/4 miles is outside — and may require walking to and from the cave through snowy conditions. Dress for walking in snow, wind and cold temperatures. Coffee, hot chocolate and cookies will be available at the visitor center. Candles will be provided. For safety reasons, the first (upper) half of the caverns will be shown with the lights on. The lower half of the cave will be by candlelight. Parents need to use their own judgement if children will be comfortable in the darkness of the cave. Young children will not be given a candle lantern. Children 5 and under are discouraged from attempting the tour.

Reservations are required. Admission is $15 for adults and $8 for children. Candles and lanterns are provided with the cost of the tour. Reservations accepted starting December 2, at the park office 406-287-3541.
