BOZEMAN TRAIL COMMEMORATIVE CHUCK WAGON COOK OFF (Virginia City)

Friday, August 22 – Sunday, August 24, 2014

Celebrating 150th Anniversary of the wagon train reaching Virginia City, Montana Territory on the Bozeman Trail. Commemorating the hardships and adventures reaching the gold fields and opportunities to be found in the Madison and Ruby Valleys in ranching and establishing new communities such as Ennis, Alder, Laurin and Sheridan.

Authentic chuck wagons cooking dinner for Saturday evening at 5 p.m. and breakfast on Sunday at 9 a.m.

Company K of 7th cavalry troop encampment, miner’s campsite, plus lots more activities. Music for dinner and presentation of awards at 7 p.m.

Take road to Boot Hill or Virginia City Cemetery Off Highway 287 in Virginia City to Ball Park behind cemetery.
